Produced by the South African Mint, the Leopard Double Capsule Proof Set captures the quiet strength and cunning nature of Africa’s most iconic big cat. The set contains two identical 1-ounce proof silver coins minted in 0.999 fine silver, each measuring 38.725 mm in diameter. The obverse of the coins proudly displays a majestic leopard along with the legal tender details: SOUTH AFRICA, the year of issue, and the national coat-of-arms. The reverse presents the distinctive, interlocking concept of the Big Five series: two halves of the leopard’s face.
