Description

The 5 oz Silver Leopard Proof coin is a massive, highly detailed collectible struck from 155.5 grams (5 troy oz) of 99.9% pure silver by the South African Mint with a large 64 mm diameter. It features a magnificent portrait of the elusive wild cat alongside the national coat of arms.The obverse displays an adult leopard alongside the text “SOUTH AFRICA” and “BIG FIVE”. The reverse shows two halves of a leopard’s face; placing multiple coins side-by-side forms a complete close-up portrait or a continuous “leap” of leopards. Issued with a very low mintage, it includes a presentation box and a certificate of authenticity.
